Write your Will for FREE

Including a gift to your favourite wildlife charity in your Will, no matter the size, makes a huge difference to charities such as us, and vital conservation work we do protecting much-loved wildlife species from the Hazel Dormouse to the Pearl-bordered Fritillary butterfly.

We've partnered with expert Will writers, Octopus Legacy (formerly Guardian Angel) to make including a gift in your Will to us even easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Will?

Not sure if you need a Will? Why not complete this quick one-minute quiz on Octopus Legacy's website to find out?

Why is the Will free?

We’ve partnered with Octopus Legacy to make it even easier to get your Will sorted and for you
to support the causes you care about. Giving a gift in your will can have a huge impact for
charities like MWT, helping us to make a real difference. But writing your Will can sometimes feel
overwhelming and difficult so we wanted to make the process clear and simple for our
supporters. We’ve therefore paid for the Wills to be written at a reduced cost. While many
people choose to include a gift in their Will, there's no obligation to do so if you wish to use
this service.

Is an online Will legal?

Writing your Will, like most things in the world, has gone digital. Octopus Legacy’s online system was created by a solicitor and legal team, and is completely legal - it just requires you to print it and have it signed by two witnesses to be completed (Octopus Legacy provide easy-to-follow instructions on how to do this). Additionally, for peace of mind, your online will is double-checked by their expert legal team who are available when you need help.

What if I need to update my online Will?

It's very likely you'll need to update your online Will; after all, it's a living document that will evolve as
your life and situation changes. You can update your Octopus Legacy online Will at any time. This is free for the first year and only £10 per year after that through a subscription, which you can opt out of at any time.

Can I leave gifts in my Will to family, friends and my favourite charity?

We recognise your family and loved ones always come first. We will only ever ask that, once you've made provision for them, you'll consider including a gift to us for local wildlife. With Octopus Legacy's Will-writing service, you can leave gifts to your family, friends and favourite charity.

How can I get in touch with Octopus Legacy?

You can contact Octopus Legacy via phone or email. They have experts on hand to support you through the Will-writing process.
