Volunteer with us!

Volunteering is a great way to help local wildlife and meet like-minded people

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Trust and we could not do what we do for wildlife without them. Every year these generous individuals donate thousands of days of their free time. To put a monetary value to it, this time would be worth well over £100,000 - but of course it's about so much more than financial currency!

Why volunteer?

Whatever your interests, skills or experience, there are volunteering opportunities to suit you. You could get stuck in on our weekly nature reserve work parties, help out in our Welshpool shop, assist with wildlife surveys, engage with people at our Dyfi Osprey Project and Dyfi Wildlife Centre or undertake desk-based tasks at home, from admin to social media or even become a Trustee or Reserve Warden.

You can give as much or as little time as you wish to - all of it helps the Trust achieve our wild mission.

Offering the chance to meet like-minded people, get out and about, see beautiful wild places, stay active and make a difference on your doorstep, volunteering is also as enjoyable as it is rewarding!

Read below for some of the different ways you can get involved, but if you don't see something you would like to offer, whether that was photography of our reserves or expert advice, just get in touch with Katy Wright, HR, Volunteer and H&S Officer, on tel: 01938 555654 or email: katy@montwt.co.uk
