About the event

Charlotte Griffiths is a passionate raptor enthusiast who is extending her knowledge to support raptor conservation in Wales. An active member of the Shropshire Raptor Study Group, where she's gained extensive field experience and in-depth knowledge of raptor behaviour and ecology, Charlotte is developing and coordinate raptor population monitoring in Wales for Cudyll Cymru, BTO’s Welsh Raptor Monitoring Project.

At this evening's talk, Charlotte will be talking about BTO Cymru's exciting new survey, which aims to train a new network of raptor monitors in Wales in order to inform policy and conservation. The survey is focusing on five widespread yet under-recorded species - Red Kite, Buzzard, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Raven - and Charlotte will be talking about the project and how people can get involved.

Everyone is welcome, and the entrance fee of £3 includes the talk (free for under 18s), light refreshments, and the opportunity to chat with like-minded folk and the speakers themselves.  We usually have a raffle, so please bring a prize if you are able to (£1 per ticket). We look forward to seeing you there!
