Volunteering with the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust

Volunteers are very important in ensuring that the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust remains at the forefront of nature conservation work in Powys. To achieve many of our targets volunteer input is essential and volunteers make a considerable contribution to our success. Volunteers are one of our most valuable resources with their enthusiasm, commitment, experience and skills.

How can you help?

Volunteering is a rewarding experience allowing you to develop skills and interests, to meet new people and above all to contribute to the conservation of some of Montgomeryshire’s most valuable natural areas. The level of commitment is entirely up to you and how happy you feel about giving up some of your time. Whatever time you can give will be a vital contribution to our work.

Here are some of the possibilities which exist at the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust:

Volunteering on Nature Reserves

This is the easiest and quickest way to get involved in our work. We run regular work parties on various nature reserves each Wednesday throughout the year. The tasks are varied and hopefully interesting. You do not need to be a member of the Trust to join the work parties, although many volunteers do choose to become members. No previous experience is necessary as you will be given all the on-the-job training and guidance you need. For an up to date work party list call the Trust office on 01938 555654.
