Montgomeryshire Mammal Group
Montgomeryshire has been without a bat group for a while now and with the Countryside Council for Wales taking an increasingly diminished role in bat conservation, there is an even larger gap to fill than previously. Since taking up the post of Farm Liaison Officer at the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust and mammal recorder for the vice-county, I have been keen to set up a mammal group to deal not only with bat work, but also working with other mammals too. However, life has already become too hectic for me to take a leading role in setting up this group, so this is where we need your help!
With help from the Bat Conservation Trust, we have arranged a meeting to try and get the ball rolling; details are attached and if you feel you are at all interested please do come along as there is no obligation if you feel you don't have time.
I understand that this is very short notice, so if you are interested, but can't make the meeting, please let me know, so we can include you in the future.
Also, please pass this link to as many people as you think would be interested; if you can put up posters somewhere locally that would be great.
Many thanks, Tammy tammy@montwt.co.uk
