Llyn Coed y Dinas
|
Man-Made for Wildlife
What do you do with a redundant gravel pit next to a
busy by-pass? Turn it into a wildlife haven of course!
And it’s working! The reserve is now enjoyed by everyone
who comes to see the hundreds of water and field birds
on and around the old quarry pit. In winter flocks of teal
and wigeon join resident mallard, tufted duck and coot
with occasional visits by whooper swans from the Arctic
and goosanders.
