Llandinam Gravels

Go with the flow

The River Severn is constantly changing course, causing erosion and creating new environments each year. There’s no stopping this force of nature and at Llandinam Gravels we don’t want to try. Instead, Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust is working with the river to restore the wetland habitats and regenerate the variety of species that have been lost from many similar sites.

Directions to the reserve: The reserve is located at grid reference: SO022876. As you approach Llandinam from Newtown, take the first right by the statue and cross the river Severn over the narrow bridge; turn first left down the track towards the disused railway and proceed along for half a mile.
