Coed Pendugwm

Wise Old Oaks

Majestic sessile oaks have nurtured this quiet corner of Wales for over 400 years providing leafy cover for plants and animals and creating a 'wild wood' – the likes of which once covered large areas of the country. Although only 3.2ha in size, the reserve has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in recognition of the special trees, plants and animals that live here.

Coed Pendugwm

Directions to the reserve: Coed Pendugwm is found at grid reference SJ103142 on a minor road a mile north of Pontrobert towards Llanfihangel. Park in the reserve car park down the short but steep track opposite Pendugwm Farm. Multimap directions
