News - Get involved
Get involved. We need your help!
Could you be an ambassador for your Local Wildlife Trust? Our aim is to ensure that everyone in Montgomeryshire (and beyond!) is aware of our wildlife trust, and the work that we do. But to achieve this, we need help from YOU, our members.Could you spare an hour or two occasionally to:
- Put up a poster on your village notice board, community hall or in your child’s school.
- Ask your local shop or post office if they would display a poster and/or events leaflets.
- Drop in a copy of ‘The Otter’ and some events leaflets when you visit your doctor or dentist.
- Man a stall at the Welshpool Monday Market.
- Help at Trust events.
- Help in our wildlife garden at Collot House, or pot up some plants for us. We are looking for green fingered volunteers to develop the garden.
- Recruit a new member - tell your friends, relatives and work colleagues about us. Perhaps you could pass on your copy of ‘The Otter’ when you have read it, or bring someone with you when you attend a trust event.
- Help us with biological recording; these records are key to our work throughout Montgomeryshire, so if you habitually note the wildlife you see on reserves, or in the wider countryside, we would love to hear from you.
