Farm Liaison
Do you farm or manage land in Montgomeryshire?
- Do you need some free wildlife advice?
- Are you interested in improving some land for wildlife?
- Do you need to create 5% habitat for Tir Cynnal?
The Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust may be able to help!
The Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust and partners of the Severn Natural Assets Project (SNAP) hope to reduce pollution, provide more wildlife-rich habitats, create pleasant forests to visit with more fish in the rivers in the Upper Severn and Vrynwy river and stream networks.
So what can the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust do for you?
Employed through funding received by SNAP, the Wildlife Trust has a Farm Liaison Officer, to provide advice to landowners in Montgomeryshire and financial support for work in line with the aims of the project.

Projects already supported:
- Restoration of an upland peat bog through removal of conifers & creating peat dams
- Reinstating old riverside coppice
- Pond creation
- Fencing off riverbanks to remove stock access and allow bank-side vegetation to grow, providing cover & reducing pollution
